Embossing lifts your design up; debossing sinks it in.

Embossing gives a logo presence and shadow, and is at its best on a lid or a front panel. Debossing feels quieter and more refined, and holds up well on surfaces that get handled a lot.

Blind, printed or foiled

A blind emboss has no ink at all - just the shape pressed into the board.

That understated look suits kraft and luxury rigid boxes. Or line the emboss up with your print, or with gold or silver foil, so colour and texture meet exactly.

How we press your design

We make a matched pair of dies from your artwork and press the board between them.

Clean, bold shapes give the crispest result; very fine detail softens as the board stretches. We check your artwork before you approve the proof, so the depth and detail suit your board.

Where it works best

On thicker board, and on the panels people touch first.

Rigid boxes and heavier cartons take a deep, sharp emboss. Lids, front panels and logos are where the texture earns its place.
