BoxifyMEYour brand, just way more boxified

Eyelash boxes hold a pair of false lashes - or several - on a shaped plastic or paper tray that keeps the band curved and the fibres uncrushed. The outer box is usually a small rigid box with a magnetic lid, or a slim carton with a window so the lash style can be seen without opening. Because the product itself weighs almost nothing, the box carries most of the perceived value.

What changes the price.

Cost factors

Every project is quoted individually. These are the choices that move the price on almost every order.

Build
A wrapped rigid box with magnets costs more per unit than a printed folding carton.
Window or clear lid
A die-cut window with film, or a fully clear lid, adds material and a fitting step.
Tray
A lash tray is a separate part; a custom-shaped tray needs its own tooling.
Finishes
Foil, holographic paper and spot UV are common on lash boxes and each add a production step.
Buyer guidance

Choosing this format

Why the lash tray matters more than the box

False lashes keep their curl only if the band is held in a curve, so the tray sets the inside size of the box.

Strip lashes are packed on a tray with a curved ridge or groove that holds the band in the shape of an eyelid. If the lashes are laid flat or pressed against a lid, the band straightens and the fibres bend, and the customer opens a pair that no longer sits right.

Settle the tray first - the one supplied with the lashes or a new one - and size the box around it. Send us the tray's measurements and we leave clearance above the longest fibres, so the lid never touches them.

  • The tray holds the band curve
  • Leave headroom over the fibres
  • Size the box around the tray

Should the lashes show through the box?

A window sells the lash style at a glance; a solid box hides it but gives more room to print.

Lash styles look alike in a photo but differ in length and density, so many brands let the customer see the pair through a die-cut window or a fully clear lid. A window needs the tray placed accurately, or the lashes sit off-centre behind it.

A solid box with the style name and a printed illustration works well where lashes are bought online and the box is part of the unboxing rather than the shelf.

Single pairs and multi-pair sets

A single pair fits a box about the size of a phone's width; sets need a deeper box or a book-style layout.

Multi-pair sets usually stack several trays or sit them side by side in a wider box. A book-style box that opens like a cover, with trays on one side and a mirror or glue on the other, is a popular layout for kits.

If glue, tweezers or an applicator travel in the same box, give each its own cavity so nothing rests on the lashes.

The details lash buyers compare

Style name, fibre type and how to apply and remove are the details buyers look for.

Shoppers compare lashes by name, length and material, so make those easy to read on the front or the base. Directions and care, such as how many wears to expect and how to clean the band, fit on the back or a card inside.

If lash glue travels in the same box, it usually comes with its own warnings, so we keep room for that text beside the lash details and you check it on the proof.

Read all frequently asked questions
What shapes can eyelash boxes come in?+

We make eyelash boxes as a flat rectangle, a square, a round box or a book-style box that opens like a cover. Rectangles and squares fit a standard lash tray most easily. Round and custom shapes stand out on a shelf, but need a tray made to match. Tell us your tray size and we recommend the shape that suits it.

Can magnetic lashes go in a box with a magnetic lid?+

Yes, with the magnets placed right. Magnetic lashes carry small magnets along the band, so we set the closure magnets at the edge furthest from the tray, where they hold the lid without pulling on the lashes. If you would rather avoid magnets altogether, a tuck or ribbon closure works just as well.

Can an eyelash box double as a storage case between wears?+

Yes, and many customers keep them for that, since reusable strip lashes need a clean place to hold their curve. We make the tray to keep the band's shape and the lid to close firmly, so the box works as a case between wears. We can also print a short line on the box or an insert card telling customers to keep it.

How does salon lash packaging differ from retail lash boxes?+

Salon packaging is built to hold many lashes, not to sell one pair. For individual and cluster lashes we make plain flat boxes that stack in a drawer, with the length and curl printed on the edge so technicians find the right tray fast. Retail strip lash boxes focus on the front design, the style name and often a window showing the pair.
