Brownie boxes are flat boxes sized around the square or rectangular cut of a brownie, from single slices to boxes of four, nine or a whole uncut tray. Brownies are fudgy, oily and often topped, so the box needs a grease-resistant surface and enough height for toppings. They are popular for postal gifts, which adds a need for a snug fit and a strong mailer.

Make the lid worth opening.
Artwork and materialsBrownie boxes are flat, so the printed lid does most of the work, whether it is a café single, a gift set or a postal box. Our packaging guides cover sizing, materials, print, and cost in more depth.
Printed lid and menu card
We print the lid with your branding and can add a menu card that names each piece, keeping the design clear of the folds on a letterbox mailer.
Explore print and finishesCoated, kraft or corrugated
Coated paperboard keeps the inside clean against fudgy brownies, kraft board gives a homemade look, and corrugated board makes a sturdy postal box that still carries full branding.

Cost factorsEvery project is quoted individually. These are the choices that move the price on almost every order.
- Postal or counter
- Postable boxes need corrugated board and a tighter fit, which costs more.
- Dividers
- Card dividers or individual wraps add parts and packing time.
- Coating
- Grease-resistant coatings add to the board cost.
- Full-colour printed boxes cost more than plain ones with a label.
Choosing this format
Fudgy, oily and sticky
Brownies are dense and greasy, and toppings stick to whatever touches them.
A fudgy brownie leaves oil on plain card within hours. A coated inside or a greaseproof liner stops the spread. Separating pieces with card dividers or individual wraps keeps toppings like ganache or caramel from gluing them together.

Brownies by post
Brownies travel well, which is why they are a favourite postal gift, but only in a snug box.
Brownies are firm enough to post, but any gap lets them slide and break their edges. A box sized to the cut, with pieces wrapped and packed tight, keeps them intact. Slim letterbox mailers are popular, so tell us the depth you need to stay under and we build the box to it.
Pack them fully cooled, so no moisture gets trapped inside the wrap.
Singles, sets and whole trays
One brownie, a gift box of several, or a whole tray each call for a different box.
Single slices go in small boxes or clamshells at a café counter. Gift sets of four or nine use a flat box with dividers and a printed lid. Whole uncut trays for events sit in a shallow box sized to the baking tin, so send us the tin size and we work from that.
Questions about brownie boxes.
Box style FAQsWe’ll confirm the exact details that apply to your structure and volume.
Read all frequently asked questionsCan you make a brownie box that fits through a letterbox?+
Yes. We make slim brownie boxes to whatever depth you need for letterbox delivery, so tell us the maximum depth you are working to. Measure the full packed depth, brownie plus topping, wrap and board, not just the bake, as ganache or frosting often adds more than expected. For bigger gift sets, our mailer boxes are a sturdy option.
How big is a box of nine brownies?+
About 15 cm square for 5 cm cuts, though we size it from your own cut. A three by three grid of 5 cm squares needs about 15 cm each way, plus room for dividers or wraps and a small allowance. Larger 6 or 7 cm cuts grow the box quickly, and depth comes from the bake height plus toppings. Send us both and we do the rest.
Can brownies share a box with cookies and other treats?+
Yes, and mixed treat boxes are popular. Brownies are oily and moist, so we recommend wrapping them or giving them their own compartment so they do not soften crisp cookies beside them. We can add card dividers to keep each treat in place, and print a lid or menu card that helps buyers tell the flavours apart.
Will brownies stay fresh in a brownie box sent by post?+
Yes, when they are wrapped. We recommend sealing each piece or the whole set in a bag or close food wrap before it goes in the box, because the box protects the shape but does not keep air out. Pack brownies fully cooled. We size the box snugly to the set, so the pieces cannot slide on the way.
