Explore rigid insertsNo stock trays. We size each cavity to your product, so it sits still and arrives exactly as you packed it.
Give us the product, or its measurements at the widest point - caps, labels and raised details included - and we cut each cavity a fraction larger, so it goes in easily and then stays put.
Packing a set? We lay out several cavities in one insert, leave enough material between them to keep it rigid, and plan it around the order your team loads it in.
You can select from four types - cardboard, corrugated, foam or rigid - each plain or printed, and we will advise if you are not sure.
Cardboard inserts are our lowest-cost option and right for most retail products: light, clean-looking and easy to recycle.
Corrugated inserts add cushioning and strength, so they are the one to choose when your product ships. Foam inserts give the firmest, softest hold for glass, electronics and anything fragile or high-value - and a dark foam set into a rigid box looks the part.
Rigid inserts are wrapped greyboard platforms and trays, made for rigid and magnetic gift boxes, where the insert should look as finished as the box.
We build the insert's dieline alongside the box it sits in, so the two fit each other as well as your product.
No gaps at the walls, no lid that will not close. Dieline support is free, and you see a digital proof before anything is cut or printed.
Every kind of insert comes plain or printed, so the inside of the box can match the outside.
Cardboard and corrugated inserts are printed before they are cut, in your colours or pattern, on the faces the customer sees. Foam is printed differently: a printed card is laminated onto its top and cut with it, so it looks like a printed insert with foam's softness underneath. Rigid inserts are wrapped in a printed paper.
Each kind's own page explains its plain and printed versions in full - cardboard, corrugated, foam and rigid.
We will be straight with you: an insert stops movement, but it cannot make a weak box strong.
If parcels are being crushed, the fix is a stronger outer box - and we make those too. If your orders change size every time, loose fill may serve you better than a fitted insert.
An insert pays back when the same product ships again and again in the same form: every unit sits in the same place, and packing gets quicker and more consistent.
In the Inserts section of the quote form, choose Cardboard, Corrugated, Foam or Rigid, then Plain or Printed. It is optional - if you are not sure which you need, describe the product in your message and we will advise.
