The proof shows your artwork exactly where it will print, on the flat layout of your box. You can see each panel, how the design meets the folds, and what sits on the lid, the sides and the inside.
It comes with every order, before production starts.

For some projects we can also show the box made up in 3D, so you see how the front, sides and lid read together. Ask when you request your quote, and we will tell you whether it suits your box.
Spotted something? Tell us, and you see a corrected proof before anything is made.
Nothing is printed until you approve the proof. If something needs changing - a colour, a line of text, a logo position - tell us, and you see it again before you approve.
Spelling, colours, logo positions, and that nothing important sits on a fold, a flap or an edge.
Read every word on every panel, including small print. Check your logo and key text sit inside the safe area, that panels are the right way up, and that background colour runs into the bleed.
Check barcodes and any required information against your own records - the proof shows exactly what will print.
A digital proof is shown on a screen, which glows; a printed box is ink on board, which doesn't.
Screens differ from one another too, so use the proof to check layout, wording and positions, and judge colour by your colour references - Pantone numbers or your brand colours - rather than your screen alone.
Your box goes into production exactly as proofed.
Once you approve, the artwork is fixed and production starts, so make sure every detail is right first. Changes after approval may mean starting the print again.
