BoxifyMEYour brand, just way more boxified

Skin care boxes are usually tall, slim folding cartons built around one bottle: a glass dropper, an airless pump or a frosted serum vial. The carton protects the glass, keeps light off the formula on the shelf, and carries the ingredient list, directions and warnings that rarely fit on the bottle itself. A board or pulp insert stops the bottle sliding, and clean, quiet print is the norm for the category.

What changes the price.

Cost factors

Every project is quoted individually. These are the choices that move the price on almost every order.

Carton height
Tall, narrow cartons for droppers and pumps use more board than their footprint suggests.
Insert
A neck-lock or pulp insert that holds a glass bottle still is a second part with its own tool.
Print coverage
Panels full of small text are cheap to print in one colour; flood colour and inside print add cost.
Range size
One carton shape shared across a range of bottles keeps tooling down compared with a new size for each.
Buyer guidance

Choosing this format

Sizing around droppers and airless pumps

The closure decides the carton height, so measure the bottle with its dropper or pump fitted and locked.

A glass dropper bulb stands well above the bottle neck and is soft, so it must not be pressed by the carton top. Airless pumps are taller again and often have a cap over the actuator; measure with the cap on, as that is how it ships.

Width is usually set by the bottle body, but frosted and heavy-base glass can be wider at the bottom than the label suggests. Measure at the widest point and send us that figure; we add a small clearance so the bottle slides in without scuffing the print.

Keeping glass from moving

A slim bottle in a tall carton rattles unless something holds it at the neck or the base.

The simplest hold is a folded board insert with a hole the neck passes through, which keeps the bottle centred and stops the dropper touching the walls. A moulded pulp cradle grips the whole bottle and suits heavier glass.

For a small travel or sample size inside a standard carton, a deeper insert lifts the bottle so it sits near the top and is easy to pull out.

Fitting the ingredient panel

Skin care lists are long, so plan the panel layout before the front design, not after.

Ingredient names in skin care are often long botanical and chemical terms, and the list can run to forty entries. On a slim carton, the back and one side panel are often needed just for ingredients, directions and warnings.

Lay out that text first on the dieline, then design the front and spare panels around it. Send us the full list and we check on the proof that every line fits at a size that can be read.

Questions about skin care boxes.

Box style FAQs

We’ll confirm the exact details that apply to your structure and volume.

Read all frequently asked questions
Does a skin care carton help protect light-sensitive serums?+

Yes. A fully enclosed paperboard carton keeps light off the bottle on the shelf and in the bathroom cabinet, which matters for formulas such as vitamin C and retinol. If light protection is the priority, we recommend leaving out a window. Once the carton is thrown away the bottle does the job alone, which is why amber or opaque glass is often used alongside it.

Can a skin care box show it has not been opened?+

Yes. We can build a tear strip into the tuck flap, or you can add a seal sticker across the top when you fill the box. A tear strip is cut as part of the box, so there is no extra part to apply, but it changes the dieline, so tell us at the start. A seal sticker can also carry your logo or a batch mark.

Can one carton size fit both a 30 ml and a 50 ml serum bottle?+

Sometimes. If the two bottles share a diameter and only the height differs, we can use one carton with a deeper insert that lifts the smaller bottle up to the opening. If the bodies differ in width too, the smaller bottle would move about, so we recommend a second size. Send us both bottles' measurements with closures fitted and we will tell you which works.

Should an airless pump bottle be sold in a box?+

For retail, yes, we recommend one. An airless pump has little room for the ingredient list, directions and warnings, and a carton gives that information a full panel. It also stops the pump being pressed on the shelf. If you sell direct and ship bare bottles, we can make a fitted mailer instead, with space left for the information your product has to carry.

What print finish suits a clinical or clean skin care look?+

We usually recommend a matte finish with one or two flat colours and plenty of white space. Soft-touch lamination feels velvety but adds a plastic layer, so if your brand talks about easy recycling, a matte varnish is the better fit. A blind emboss on the logo adds detail without breaking the quiet look.
