What box does a CBD oil or tincture bottle need?
Our Custom CBD Boxes for oils are tall tuck-end cartons sized around the bottle with its dropper fitted, with a neck insert that holds the glass upright so it never knocks against the walls.
Oils and tinctures are almost always sold in small glass dropper bottles, and the dropper is the part that decides the box. The bulb and collar add height, so we draw the carton around the assembled bottle with just enough clearance for it to slide in. The neck insert holds the bottle by the shoulder rather than gripping the dropper, so the glass stays still and the dropper stays seated.
If you put a folded leaflet in with the bottle, tell us its folded size before we draw the carton, so it lies flat against a panel. We show the carton, insert and leaflet space on the dieline for you to check.
- Sized around the bottle with its dropper fitted
- A neck insert that holds the bottle by the shoulder
- Room planned for a folded leaflet
How do you box CBD balms, salves and creams in jars or tins?
We make a near-cube tuck-end carton for a jar, or a printed sleeve that slides over a tin, and we give the board an oil-resistant varnish so it stays clean beside oily contents.
Balms and salves come in short, wide containers, so the box is the opposite shape to an oil carton. For a jar, the lid is usually the widest part, so we size the carton from the lid. For a flat tin, a sleeve is often all it needs, and the tin slides out without a flap to open.
Balms are opened and closed with oily fingers, and a little oil on uncoated board leaves a dark mark. We finish the outside with an oil-resistant varnish, and can coat the inside too, so the carton keeps looking new on the shelf.
Can CBD gummies and edibles go in a printed box?
Yes. Gummies sold in a jar or tub go in a carton sized around that container, and for gummies boxed loose we give the carton an inside surface made for food and confirm the board and coating are suitable for direct food contact before production.
Most gummy ranges are filled into a jar, a tub or a pouch first, and the carton goes around that. We size it from the filled container with its lid on, in the same way as a balm jar. Where gummies go straight into the box, we recommend a clear inner bag as well, because unwrapped gummies can stick to board in damp air, and the bag keeps them off the board.
We give gummy cartons the same clean, informative layout as the rest of your range, so they read clearly as part of your brand.
Who writes the wording that goes on a CBD box?
You do, and we set it exactly as you supply it: we lay out every word on the digital proof for you to check at full size before anything is printed.
A small CBD carton can carry a lot of fixed text. We do not write, edit or advise on that wording. We give it its own panels before the branding goes on, so nothing is split across a fold or lost in a glue flap, and the front is kept for your brand and product name.
Batch numbers and dates change with every run, so we leave a clear, uncoated space for you to add them at packing, by label or coding printer. If you add a QR code, we place it on a flat panel away from the creases, and we recommend checking that it scans on the full-size proof.
- Your wording, set exactly as supplied
- An uncoated space for batch and date details
- Any QR code on a flat panel, checked on the proof
How do I make each CBD strength easy to tell apart?
We put the strength in the same place on every carton, large on the front and repeated on a side or end panel, and give each strength its own colour so the right bottle is picked first time.
A CBD range is often one bottle in several strengths, and the bottles themselves look identical. The carton tells them apart, and because cartons are often stored side-on or stood in a display with one face showing, we repeat the strength on a narrow panel as well as the front.
The structure and the main design stay the same for every strength, so a new one is a change of colour band and wording rather than a new box. For short runs or a strength you are trialling, Custom Labels & Stickers can carry the variant details on a shared carton. Send us your Pantone references and we print to them, so each strength keeps its colour from one order to the next.
- Strength in one fixed place on every carton
- Repeated on a side or end panel
- One colour per strength, kept to your Pantone references
Can CBD orders be posted in a plain outer box?
Yes. We make Custom Mailer Boxes with a plain outside and your design printed inside, so an order looks like any other parcel on the doorstep and the branding appears when the lid lifts.
For posting, we recommend sending each printed carton inside a mailer with a little padding, so it arrives as clean as it left you. Our mailers close with a tuck front and locking ears, and we mark a plain zone on the lid for the shipping label, so it sits on a clean area and scans first time.
For a visible sign the parcel has not been opened on the way, we can add a peel-and-seal adhesive strip or a printed seal sticker. On the carton itself, a tear strip or a seal label across the opening shows your customer whether it has been opened, and for jar lids and caps we make seals from a brittle film that breaks when peeled or a material that leaves a VOID pattern behind.
Can a CBD display box hold dropper cartons upright beside the till?
Yes. We make Custom Display Boxes with a front lip set to your carton's height, a slight backward tilt and dividers, so tall, narrow cartons stand in neat rows with their fronts facing out.
Dropper cartons are tall and light, so we give each one its own space with dividers, and set the lip high enough to hold the front row without hiding your branding. Many shops stand the display behind the counter facing the customer, and we design the header to read clearly at that distance.
Displays ship flat and fold up in seconds, and we finish them with a scuff-resistant varnish so they keep looking fresh through daily handling. Tell us how many units each display holds, whether it is refilled or replaced when empty, and whether balm tins or gummy jars share it with the oils, and we draw the tray around that mix.
- Dividers that keep tall cartons standing
- A lip that holds the front row without hiding it
- Scuff-resistant varnish for daily handling
What should I send you to quote my CBD packaging?
Send us each container's measurements with its dropper, cap or lid fitted, the final wording for every panel, the number of strengths or flavours, and how each product will be sold.
List every product that needs a box - oils, balms, gummy jars - and tell us whether any share a size. For each one, send the wording it must carry and say whether it goes on a shelf, on a counter display or straight into the post.
Gold, Silver & Rose Gold Foiling or Embossing & Debossing on the front panel suit a premium oil, while the wording panels stay plain so the text is easy to read. We draw the dieline from what you send, then share a digital proof so you can check the fit, the wording and the look before production.
- Container measurements with dropper, cap or lid fitted
- Final wording for every panel and every variant
- How each product is sold: shelf, counter or post
