What does corporate gifts & promotions packaging need to do?

Designed for the market

Corporate gifts mix items of different shapes in one box and are sent to many people at once, so the packaging must hold a set together, look considered and ship reliably.

Boxifyme connects those requirements to the structure, material, printing method, and finish so every choice has a clear job.

Choosing corporate gifts & promotions packaging

Which box suits a welcome kit, a client gift or an event kit?

Each one has a different job, so we match the box to it: Custom Welcome Kit Boxes for new starters, Rigid Gift Boxes or Magnetic Closure Boxes for clients, and Custom Mailer Boxes for conference and event kits.

A welcome kit has to reach someone on their first day and make the company feel organised, so we usually build it as a printed mailer with a fitted insert, sturdy enough to post on its own. A client gift is a thank-you, and it is often kept on a desk or shelf long after the contents are gone, which is why we recommend a rigid build with a magnetic or lift-off lid.

Event and conference kits are handed out in numbers, carried around a venue and taken home on a train or in a car boot. A lighter mailer with a simple insert does this well and packs quickly on the day. When a gift is centred on one bottle, our Custom Wine Boxes give it a proper presentation, with room for glasses or an opener alongside.

  • Staff welcome kits: printed mailer with an insert
  • Client gifts: rigid or magnetic box made to be kept
  • Event kits: light mailers that pack and carry easily

How do you plan a kit made up of items from several different makers?

We design the insert around the final items, so the most useful thing you can do is fix the contents before we draw it.

Corporate kits are rarely made by one maker. The notebook comes from one place, the bottle from another and the clothing from a third, and each can change shape between one order and the next. Send us the exact measurements of every item as it will be packed, with folded clothing measured folded, and we lay them out on a dieline so you can see where each piece sits before anything is cut.

We place the heaviest item low and near the centre, give glass and ceramics their own cell in a foam or corrugated insert, and let soft items such as a t-shirt sit flat under a card tray. If you plan to swap one item later, a pen for a different pen or one bottle for another, tell us now and we size that cell to suit both.

Will the box follow our brand guidelines and logo rules?

Yes. Send us your brand guidelines with your logo files and we set the box out to follow them, then show you the result on a digital proof before we print.

Most brand guidelines cover more than the logo: approved colours, which version of the logo goes on a dark or light background, how much clear space it needs and which typefaces are allowed. We work to all of it, and we keep the logo away from folds, closures and the area a shipping label will cover, so it always reads cleanly on the finished box.

Give us your colour references and we match the print to them as closely as the board and finish allow, pointing out on the proof anywhere a colour will look different on kraft or on a coated board. Gold, Silver & Rose Gold Foiling or Embossing & Debossing can pick out the logo on its own, which many brand teams prefer to a fully printed lid.

  • Send vector logo files and your colour references
  • We keep the logo clear of folds and label areas
  • You approve every detail on the digital proof

Can each kit carry a personal name or message?

Yes. We recommend one box design for everyone, personalised with a printed card or a name label, so the same stock works for every person you send it to.

Printing a name on the box itself ties each box to one person, which makes reprints awkward when someone joins late or a name is spelt wrong. A card that slots into a set place in the insert, or a label from our Custom Labels & Stickers range on the lid, gives each person their own welcome while the boxes stay interchangeable.

For a message everyone should read, such as a note from the founder, your company values or a code to an onboarding page, we print it inside the lid. It is the first thing the recipient sees on opening, and it keeps the outside of the box clean for your logo.

Can corporate kits be sent to lots of different addresses?

Yes. We build the box so each kit can go out as its own parcel to a home or an office, with a clear space for the address label.

Many teams now send welcome kits to people working from home, and client gifts often go to dozens of separate offices at once. Our Custom Mailer Boxes close with locking tabs and go through the post without an outer carton, so a mailer kit is ready to address as soon as it is packed. We keep the label area clear of important print, so the logo is never covered.

A rigid or magnetic gift box looks its best when it arrives unmarked, so we recommend sending it inside a plain Custom Shipping Box. Custom Ribbon Pull Collapsible Boxes are useful when kits are packed in more than one place: they travel flat and set up with one pull of the ribbon.

How should a client gift box differ from a staff welcome kit?

A client gift usually carries less and says more, so we put the effort into the box itself: a rigid build, a considered finish and an insert that frames one or two good items.

Staff kits are practical and often hold six or seven pieces, so the insert is busy and the box is built to travel. A client gift is more often a bottle and glasses, a pen and notebook, or a single branded keepsake. We give it a Magnetic Closure Box or a Rigid Gift Box with a Rigid Insert or Die Cut Insert, so the gift sits centred and the lid opens onto it.

Finishes do much of the work here. Soft-touch Lamination with a foiled logo feels calm and expensive, while UV Printing can add a spot gloss to a pattern. If the gift includes alcohol, tell us what the box must show and we lay it out on the proof alongside your branding.

Can one box design work across a year of events and gifts?

Yes. Many companies order one branded box in a neutral design and change the card, label or insert for each event, season or campaign.

A box with your logo and brand colours, and no date or event name on it, can serve a conference in spring, a client thank-you in summer and a year-end gift. The detail that changes, the event name, a theme or a message, goes on a printed card or a sticker, so you are never left with boxes that only fit one occasion.

If the contents change through the year, we can make more than one insert for the same outer box, each cut for a different set of items. The outside stays the same, which keeps every gift recognisably yours.

What should we send with a corporate gift quote request?

Tell us who the kit is for, what goes in it and how it will reach people, and we work out the box, the insert and the finish from there.

The more of this you can share, the closer our first proposal will be. We draw the dieline from your item measurements, set out your artwork on it, and send a digital proof for your brand team to approve before production starts.

  • Every item with its measurements, as packed
  • Logo files, brand guidelines and colour references
  • Whether kits are posted singly, handed out or delivered in bulk
