Cake pop boxes hold sweets on sticks, so the key part is an insert with punched holes that keeps each pop upright and away from its neighbours. Single favour boxes, sets of four to twelve and tall display stands are all common. A clear window or lid lets the decoration do the selling.

What changes the price.

Cost factors

Every project is quoted individually. These are the choices that move the price on almost every order.

Insert
The stick-hole insert is a second die-cut part, and thicker board grips sticks better.
Count
More pops means a bigger box and more holes to punch accurately.
Height
Upright pops need a tall box, which uses a larger blank than a flat one.
Window
Clear lids and windows add film and a patching step.

Choosing this format

Why the stick hole matters most

Cake pops are decorated balls on a stick, so the box has to hold the stick, not the pop.

If cake pops lie down, the coating cracks and the sprinkles rub off. A raised insert with a punched hole for each stick keeps them upright, so the decorated part touches nothing. The insert sits a little below the top of the box, with the pops rising into the space above.

The hole should grip. Too large and the pop leans and swings; too small and the stick will not go in without crushing the board. Paper and plastic sticks differ in width, so send us the exact stick you use and we punch the holes to it.

  • Upright stops coating damage
  • Size holes to your sticks
  • Space pops so they cannot touch

Spacing and height

Measure the widest decorated pop and the full stick length before sizing the box.

Toppers, bows and piped details add width. Leave a clear gap between pops so they do not knock together, and enough height that the top of the tallest pop clears the lid. Send us both measurements and we size the box around them.

Single favours and display stands

A single pop often goes in a small tall box or a bag, while sets travel in a flat box with an insert.

For weddings and parties, single-pop favour boxes with a window are common. For counters, a tall stand-style box with a grid of holes doubles as a display.

Read all frequently asked questions
Should each cake pop be bagged before it goes in the box?+

We recommend it for most orders. A small clear bag tied at the stick keeps sprinkles on and stops pops marking each other, and bagged pops can lie in a flat box, which saves height. Unbagged pops stand upright in a card insert with stick holes, which we punch to your stick size.

How far should the stick go into the insert?+

A few centimetres, enough to stand straight without the stick end hitting the base. We raise the insert on folded legs so the space below takes the stick, and size the box height as stick length plus pop height plus clearance. Send us your stick length and diameter and we cut the holes to grip snugly, so every pop stands upright.

Can cake pop boxes be personalised for an event?+

Yes. We can print names, a date or a theme on the lid, or keep one printed design and personalise each order with a printed sticker or a ribbon. Stickers suit small runs where names change between orders, and printing the box itself suits larger events with one design throughout.

Can a cake pop box hold treats on flat sticks?+

Yes, with slot-shaped holes instead of round ones. We cut the slots to the width and thickness of your stick, so cakesicles and other flat-stick treats stand without spinning. Cakesicles are flatter and wider than round pops, so many sit better lying in a flat box with a shaped insert. Send us your stick size and we fit it.
